Join us for National Boys & Girls Club Week – March 23 – 29, 2014!

Who We Are: A proud affiliate of the national Boys & Girls Club of America, the Boys & Girls Club off Bluffton was founded in 1998 and annually serves more than 400 young people, referred to as members, ages 6-18. This ethnically diverse population represents African Americans (37%), Caucasians (37%), Hispanic (16%) and multi-racial individuals (10%). The club has served more than 3,000 youth in Bluffton.

Where We Are: Located at 100 H.E. McCracken Circle, the Bluffton Club was built in 1998 and is situated on 2½ acres featuring a modern, freestanding building of 24,500 square feet. Program-specific spaces include a Learning Center and newly refurbished Reading Room donated by the Walmart Foundation, a Technology Center, Gymnasium, Music and Dance Studio, Art Room, and a Food Court offering healthy after-school snacks.  For many children, this may be their last healthy meal of the day.

Why We Are Here:  The Boys & Girls Club of Bluffton, like its national counterparts, introduces positive values, learning enrichment programs,  leadership skills and numerous social opportunities that foster the growth, self-esteem, and futures for all children, especially those at-risk. Enriching the lives of thse children promotes personal and family safety as well as the safety of the larger community. 

Thanks To You: Since 2000, the Club has received $4,113,518 from a combination of individual, corporate and foundation giving. Some 1,580 individuals and organizations in and serving Bluffton have contributed. Individual donors have give 3,196 gifts and provided $2,306,796. There have been 521 gifts from foundations and corporations representing $1,831,139.
